Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials said Ricardo Medina Jr., 36, was being held on $1 million bail late Sunday in connection with the stabbing death of Joshua Sutter, also 36, at the apartment they shared in Palmdale, Calif.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office said that Medina and Sutter got into an argument that escalated into a fight shortly before 4 p.m. local time Saturday. Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez said that Medina went into his bedroom with his girlfriend and locked the door.

However, Navarro-Suarez said that Sutter forced the bedroom door open. That's when Medina allegedly picked up the sword that he kept next to the bedroom door and stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen.

Investigators said Medina called 911 himself and waited for first responders to arrive. He is due in court in Lancaster, Calif. on Tuesday.

Yeah he might not get convicted. If the dude knocked his door down and the gf was "scared for her life" depending on the jury, he might get off. In CA I'm not sure if they have as liberal of "stand your ground" laws as say FL.
 
this story is bullshit - the power rangers did not use swords. something isn't adding up here. leonardo was the master of the sword.
 
You stab with a rapier. Most other swords are meant to slash or cleave. In intruder into my home wouldn't be looking at a little hole in his belly from my katana. Dumb Power Ranger.
 
The only crime here is that the guy is being held on $1 million bail. Innocent until proven guilty and first look says that he was defending himself.

they used the wrong picture. they used the picture for samurai red when this guy was the wildforce red.

When it first came to the US, I believe all the fighting scenes were just taken from the Japanese show. So to make the US version they just filmed the US actors talking scenes... then after they slap on the helmet they can just copy footage from the other show. So cheap to produce, so they made a killing.

Can't do that without the helmets
