i'd be willing to try this, i was always a fan of BF2 when played slowly and tactically, but i still feel like this might be a bit much. games where you die from one shot and never even see your attacker are generally not fun.

its true that you do die in one shot a significant portion of the time, but it isnt necessarily always the case and you get good by learning NOT to get shot...

These deals are killing me.

Edit: I installed it and after getting blown up every time I left the spawn, I migrated to an infantry only server and had a good time. I like the realism and the fact that you actually get pitched battles that require some teamwork instead of everybody just running around shooting at everything that moves. It is difficult though, I've been having a tough time figuring out who's on which team, and I keep getting shot in the head as I squint at the screen and realize that guy is pointing a rifle at me. I have no idea how to operate vehicles, I'll work on that later. Some kind of notification when you hit a guy would be nice, especially when you're trying to take out a tank with an AT rifle from a distance. So far it's worth the five bucks, I can see myself getting into this. I'm not really a COD4 kind of guy, this seems to be more my playing style.

Is it possible to add crosshairs so you don't have to go to irons every time?
