Red light ticket :(

State law here (at least when I took drivers ed some years back) says that if the light is yellow when you enter the intersection you have the right of way (like your first ticket).

*assuming the laws are similar* You could fight this, of course if the cop says otherwise you're screwed, but no less that if you just paid the fine. Question now becomes, is showing up in court worth the $100 (+$60)?

Also, you could time the light to see if it's short, I have read about red-light tickets getting thrown out of court for this.

If you have records from your old case, bring them in to court and point out the obvious contradiction you pointed out here. Ask the judge how both parts of the law could be true.
