Two weeks after that They sent in an apology letter in the mail saying it was a camera malfunction and they had to reinburish $$ to those who paid.

I came to a complete stop (picture shows be braking at the line from the back). Then it shows me taking the right turn under red.

reinburish?

my god....

This thread is officially dead.

As everyone else has said, a rolling stop != a stop in the eyes of the law.

You ran a red light and got caught. Time to pay up.

Use your head. $30 now saves you a big headache later.

That's some nifty stuff. However, does it affect laser or radar?

Probably not, but since the spray isn't visible to the naked eye, the cops won't notice. Get a V1 for that.

I don't recommend the license plate covers because they are illegal in some states (even if they appear to be clear).

I didn't see any information on it at the site, but I'm curious if you did use it and it did affect radar/laser cops use, what would be the legal ramifications?

A spray is not an active method of blocking radar/laser, so very little could be done. I doubt a cop would think twice if they couldn't get a reading off your plate...why waste 10 minutes chasing you down for a possible violation (especially when the spray is invisible) when they can just tag the next car for speeding?

Anyway, in my state, a red-light camera ticket is $190. Buying a $30 can of spray is a no-brainer.

how's this thing look at night? seems like it'd draw unwanted attention to you if a cop happens to be driving behind you.

What a bitch man. I'm not too familiar with Cary, but the only places I've ever seen no-turn-on-right is around NCSU campus; never in Cary or elsewhere. Next time you just need to floor it as you get up to the intersection and then the camera can't catch you ;)

Try again.

If you look you will see a bike sign. I stop at that as bikes come from that part usually on warm days. I then pull up and yeild and take off.
I ride bike so i know the paths in cary so I always stop before that.

Okay, but how the hell do you explain the 15MPH and being able to get out of that intersection in 1 second from a full stop?

He just told you, but I don't think he did a good job. He came to a complete stop BEFORE the white stopline. What probably happened is that when he moved again, the camera readied itself then snapped away, well AFTER he had come to a complete stop.

OK, so explain the 15MPH reading. Also I do not see your break lights in any pic (pic may just be too blurry). That third pic was likely taken at the same time as the first, and clearly there are no break lights on.

BRAKE lights, dumbass. :p

- M4H

Maybe they are broken, that's why they aren't on.

Jackhole. :p

your car made the camera horney... thus invoking the desire to take pictures.

I saw a pretty new cadillac a couple months ago that had the worst plate cover I've ever seen. You could only ever see half the plate at any time. For example, I was behind the car in the left lane (it was in the right), I could only read the first three digits. I got over behind it and the plate looked silver. The caddy got into the left lane and I could read the last part of the plate then.

I seriously thought about calling the police and reporting it. There's no reason to have a plate cover like that unless you're doing something illegal.

high gloss makes sense. but that also means that its useless in daytime driving. the gloss will only distort pictures if there is a light source shining on the plate, i think...

Nobody has checked out the time stamps yet? The 2nd picture is one second after the first. If you truly were stopped, and made yer right, it'd take more then 1 second to get your car completely out of the frame.

that was mentioned several times. according to the OP, he came to a full stop, but when he started moving again, the camera took it's first shot, and then 1.4 seconds later took his second and he had already moved.
