Iâ??m trying to install Red Hat 7.3. Two days ago I bought the CD/R and download these files: valhalla-i386-disc1, valhalla-i386-disc2, valhalla-i386-disc3, valhalla-SRPMS-disc1, valhalla-SRPMS-disc2). So I recorded the valhalla-i386-disc1 and my computer doesnâ??t boot from the CD. What could I did wrong? By the way, I tried boot my computer with Red Hat 7.1 it boots.

Thanks

Either your downloaded disc 1 image is corrupt or your burn of it to CD is corrupt.

Use md5sum to check th eintegrity of the downloaded files. See the information at LinuxIS😵rg on how to use md5sums.

He said he could boot from a RH 7.1 CD, so I think we can assume the problem is with his download or burn.

I downloaded the NTI Cd Maker program. Than I burned first cd and boot my computer ... IT works 🙂 ... Now I'm installing the Red Hat 7.3 ...

Thanks all for your help

I burn the ISO image. As I understand and from my experience when you extract , The cd is incorrect(can't boot and so on)
