Red Hat Update issue

For some reason I cannot update my Fedora Core because I keep getting this error:

Error while retrieving package cvs-1.11.17-6.FC3.
The message was:

An HTTP error occurred:
URL: http://ftp.kddilabs.jp/Linux/packages/f.../i386//SRPMS/cvs-1.11.17-6.FC3.src.rpm
Status Code: 404
Error Message: Not Found

How can I get around this error? Or do I have to manually install every update?

BTW I am new at Linux

Try to ignore cvs for the moment.
Try a different mirror or something maybe?

The problem is that I can't its the update manager that controls what I download.

Is there a way to configure where you download it from?

It's possible that mirror isn't updated, have you just tried again? It's also possible your package list is outdated, have you updated that? If you're using yum, just type 'yum update' then try again.

Thanks for the advice I am updating my Yum right now.

If you'd like to fool around with it, check out /etc/yum.repos.d and check what's enabled and what's not. You could point yourself at different sites for updates.

My favorite site about Fedora stuff... www.fedorafaq.org - they have a nice yum.conf file there you could download and place in your /etc/ folder. Read that whole site -- good stuff there!
