Red Hat Linux 9.0

I have just installed Linux9.0 on my rig, but don't know how to install the driver for my ADSL modem..any help of any kind would be most appreciated. thanks

The name of your modem would be a good start.
But why did you install Redhat 9 anyway? That's quite an oldie, Redhat doesn't support it anymore.
Go with Fedora if you want the "consumer grade" version of Redhat.

eh actually i had it for a long time but because i didn't a driver for the modem then i shoved it in a corner. well if there are any free downloadable version i'm interested. well my modem is Prolink Hurricane 8000, i've the linux driver on their website but simply can't figure how to install it...i'm trying to find my way on linux...

Redhat Linux as it was in the days of version 9 doesn't exist anymore.
Now there's Redhat Enterprise Linux, which is a pay version, and there's Fedora which is a community driven version.
Fedora is the closest you'll get to Redhat 9, give it a try, it's a free download, and if the driver for your modem is free as in speech, it's likely included.

thanks . checked the fedora link..i'll get it downloaded ..hope the 64bit version will have all my cards drivers

wish i could return it but i'm pretty poor at the moment so i've got to accept what the company is giving me...beggars can't be choosers..the modem was free with the adsl package.
