Red Cross and Swiss Flag confusion...

they just showed, that instead of the red-cross sign in the olympic town, there was the Swiss flag(white cross, red background).

aaaa, sorry, I meant in Salt Lake City (Olympics).... I'm watching the olympics nearly all day long so it was so obvious for me, that it was in Salt Lake City 😉
 
ummm..I guess seeing how the red cross flag was derived from the swiss flag, one could get them confused. But doesn't the Red Cross flag have a Red Cross? Or is it the other way around....Hmmm....😕

Yes, you're right. That and I use the ubiquitous red Swiss Army knives as a reference...

You may not be aware of this but the US has a different culture than the swiss. In fact because of that we use a symbol that in fact looks identical to your flag to indicate medical facilitys, these stations aren't the red cross (a seperate organization). Different culture, in a different culture your symbol may mean something different to us. Get it now?
