Hi. About a month ago I built my first PC didn't have any issues until today. I go to boot up and everything appears to work but not getting any video.

The red CPU led is solid.

It's a Z97-A, i5 4690k.

Would really appreciate any help as I have no idea what to do other than try to replace to CPUs/mobo.

I've already tried reseating the CPU and the connectors.

Where exactly is this red LED you are talking about? Your motherboard manual can tell you what a solid light here means.

It's the POST CPU led located right under the CPU. The manual doesn't say anything about it except a passing mention.

Ok. First step since it was working at some point would be the cmos reset jumper. Let us know if that makes a difference.

Other people with same issue..
"Clearing the CMOS doesn't work. The only that works is turning off the power supply, removing my ASUS nVidia graphics card (to get at the battery), removing the battery, putting the battery back in, re-installing the AUSA NVidia graphics card. Turning the power back on. Then booting up, pressing the delete key."

Another here..

Appears to be buggy bios or failing/failed motherboard.

Thanks guys. It is looking like mobo failure and I have 3 more days to return to Amazon so I went ahead and started a return of mobo and CPU just in case. It's not like I'd be using the CPU. I also took the opportunity to get an i7 4790k upgrade.
