This morning in the atrium of our office building, we white-collar folks were greeted by a bunch of perky, upbeat, loud, dot.com-generation salespeople. They were giving away a free can of Red Bull along with a small pamphlet about how beneficial the energy drink is.
I decided to take one from them. I'd never had Red Bull before, so who am I to judge it until I try it? After all, it was free. The ingredients and additives mentioned on the can definitely made it look like a somewhat beneficial energy drink. I was feeling a little sluggish this morning, so I decided to give it a go. It couldn't hurt.
After one sip, however, I knew that I could never finish that small silver and blue can. It tasted NASTY! I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I didn't want to drink a very sour version of Mountain Dew. Instantly, I scrunched up my faced, muttered "what the heck was THAT?" and stared at the can. Always willing to give something a second chance, I decided to take another sip. BAD idea. After a third sip, I realized that Red Bull Energy Drink was not for me.
If Red Bull gives you wings, I prefer to crawl on the ground, thank you very much. 🙂
