Red and green splotch marks on T4300 CPU

Just gutted a laptop which had it's board die from coffee and noticed these strange red and green
colored splotches on the CPU. Anyone ever seen this before? Is the CPU likely dead?

I wiped them off with cleaning solvent, the CPU looks fine underneath. I'm curious as to why they were there though.

might be fingernail polish. i know in the industry sometimes technicians have "test" or known-good CPUs that they mark this way. sometimes they get lost and find themselves in a final product.
