Very nice. McCarthy never could act for crap but she's still great to look at.

Well, I'm excited. I love the C&C games. They're great fun.

True, but I'm not sure whether to be excited or not, EA has a bit of a rep for ruining games with huge potential. guess we'll just wait and see

Erm, why does anybody give a rats ass about some fancy actors that will appear in a games cutscenes? They aren't going to suddenly put that game on a whole other level. I never quite understood, it's pure marketing, attach a famous/well known games and people are supposed to have positive feelings associated with the game because of the famous person. But for me as a gamer, it's just plain meh, rather invest in some more programmers and some more content for us to play!!!

Did EA not try this already with Tiberian Sun?

Seriously, big names but mediocre gameplay.... more people will remember the mediocre gameplay.

I personally enjoyed C&C3 a lot and I think the well-done cutscenes added a lot to the game from a back-story perspective.

Sure, there were parts of the game that absolutely infuriated me (Croatia), but I liked the cutscenes.

Looks sweet. Kari Wuhrer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jenny McCarthy, but oh well.

If this game is anything like Red Alert 2, WIN.

Eh, I don't care about who does the cutscenes so much as that they are there. The live-action cutscenes are one of those special things about C&C games.

I do agree that no matter how good the cutscenes are, the game still needs to play well. RA2 was perfect. Hopefully they can get close to it.

In my humble opinion it looks absolutely great. It was about damn time for another Red Alert, and since Westwood is gone and since Petroglyph can't make anything better than a Star Wars game and a crappy sci-fi RTS then I wouldn't see another company trying to touch the C&C franchise than EA, at least they've got the funds to hire actors and make cut scenes for a full fledged C&C game. The great days of the old C&C games are gone and we must look at C&C 3 and beyond with new eyes, and leave the nostalgia behind a bit. I liked C&C 3, Kane's Wrath was great as well and RA3 looks amazing.

C&C3 was perfect, RA3 has been beta'able for awhile and some are enjoying the shit out of the multiplayer.

People who say that Westwood would have done any better are plain wrong. Westwood is now Petroglyph and they put out two mediocre titles that were far worse than CNC3.

What a waste of money that would have been better spent on gameplay improvements...

True, but it's a hallmark of the series, and EA would be burned at the stake by fans for not including it.

Really? I found the cut-scenes in C&C 3 so bad, the acting was horrid, it made me cringe and tried to skip them....

Still isn't the diamond in the dust that'll make me buy it. Looks simply like the tiberium game they had prior to it. I hated the really fast pace that game made. Unlike the previous C&C games which were a little slower so you had time to actually think and come up with an elaborate evil plan rather than just knowing the fastest micro's to win.

Again, really bad/cheesy acting is a hallmark of the series. That's the joke, the punch, etc. If you read any forums where you will find a lot of C&C fans you would realize there was quite a lot of hype over the cheesy acting in C&C3. It's been part of the series since the start. When it began, it was probably unintentional, they probably thought they were making it more realistic, but now it's more of a throwback.

I think a lot of you are missing the point. Cheesy acting in the cut scenes is a core part of the game. They don't take it too seriously and let it show, you shouldn't either. Just laugh at big name actors being silly and having fun, and take it for what it's worth.
