I met a guy in college who introduced himself as Hinge, and when I asked where he got the unusual nickname he told me it was an acronym. So I had to ask, and he said it was an acronym for Hinge Is Not Gonna Explain.

RPM - RPM Package Manager, though some people consider it Red Hat Package Manager.

Looks like most of them are because the actual acronym is lame, so they just add another letter at the beginning and call it a recursive acronym.
