recurring VIRUS?

i got some trojan virus ByteVerify something or other teh other day after like never having a virus my entire life...

i deleted the file (NAV couldnt clean) and a couple days later it showed up again. so far its showed up a total of 3 times in the past week and i keep deleting it and i installed ZA and so far nothing but is there anything else i can do to stop it? can any program actually repair this virus? thx

You probably need to disable System Restore and then get rid of the virus.

Yeah I know someone who has it. Keeps resetting their homepage.

Disabled system restore, ran anti-virus software. Says it's removed. Reboot, it comes right back.

yeah but i already followed all instrctions abd it still keeps comin back

use a couple different virus/trojan scanners to try to get all the components. otherwise you're unfortunately destined for a reformat of the entire drive imo.

I got this on my machine and wondered why it kept coming back, turned out it was kindly hopping over from a network share on my server...

yeah im on a network but im not sharing anything...

maybe i should just have the other guys scan their comps...
