Rectify(one of the best unknown shows) season 3 starts tonight

How is season 2?
From what I remember, it was pretty good. It was 10 episodes instead of 6 so they could go a little more in depth on different things and plenty of surprises, especially the finale. I'm not saying they'll all be good surprises though so be prepared.

I don't want anything to rectify me, if you catch my drift.
I'll guess you mean "rectalfy" - which is what I normally call the show. There is some basis in the plot for that. After all, the guy spent like 20 years in the joint so . . .

It's great to see all the love for this show. I've told people about it but it's really not for everyone which I guess is always going to be the case for "art house" television. Still, it was disappointing to see it cut to a 6 episode season. I thought for sure when season 2 went to 10 eps from 6 that was a good sign but I guess not. I hope we get a season 4 but I'm not optimistic.

Absurdly dense and tense. Dark. Real mindfuck.
10/10 would watch again.
Season 2. Fuck.
If you like tense and dark, check out Deutschland83 on Sundance. It's not the same vibe but has a lot of similarities. I started a thread before the premier but it got zero traction.

It's about spycraft in 1983 during the deployment of Pershing II's to West Germany. You see everything from both sides but primarily the East German side since the main protagonist is a young kid who gets drafted to work for the Stasi.

I think it wraps up the season in a week or two, but I doubt that will stop anyone here from finding it - wink, wink.

I'll check it out, English or subtitles?

Ah. Forgot to mention that - sorry. It's subbed, but it isn't constant dialog so it's not so bad. There IS a lot of dialog but a lot of the story is conveyed visually. Also not all of the dialog is crucial.

I find myself reading stuff online and glancing back every few seconds to catch most of the subtitles. I don't recommend doing that and I generally try not but it's possible - that's the only point I'm trying to make.

Unfortunately binge watching has spoiled me so I'll wait until season 3 is on Amazon/Netflix.

It will be a long wait but well worth it I'm sure.

Yes. Quite good. I was surprised how quickly things got resolved but I guess the initial murder is still unresolved which should make it the theme of the next season. I think I remember seeing someplace that it's been renewed. Not sure.
