Hey, my name is XTGeminiman from Game Force, a fairly new gaming site that's looking for staff writiers to review, preview, and write articles and news. Staff writers will be compensated with free games based on their performance (we issue one free game to the employee of the month and we're also anticipating free games to deliver to our various staff when we become a larger force in the gaming industry). If you're interested, please provide a brief sample review to my email. You can contact me at xtgeminiman@yahoo.com. We're looking for serious inquiries only as this is a fairly decent commitment (we expect a certain amount of things per week). However, if you think you're up to the task than please email me. The website can be found at www.vgameforce.com

Thanks for reading,

XTGeminiman

only 1 game to 1 person a month, especially when asking for "certain amounts weekly"? you are asking a lot for not much in return.

Wow, what an a**. We're trying to get recognized, and some people like writing about games. If you don't have anything positive to say don't say it.

Way to be proffessional... the guy was making a point, journalists who contribute to just about any site or publication expect some sort of compensation. I would fear for the quality of reviews if you are just indescrimenantly soliciting 12 year-olds who don't want money to write for your site.

with this attititude i am sure your venture will fail, seen it before and am seeing it again, right here. anybody remember tin10? same attitude...

trying to get recognized on a forum by talking sh!t to a member who has been around for 2yrs and more than 3500 posts who is making a valid point?

i don't know where you learned to do business, but i can assure you this is not a good way to get "recognized"

besides, anybody that would write decent articles could easily afford the game that he/she may get from you, and who knows, the contributing author may not get anything.

Sorry, but I have to agree with the OP on this one. If you are a true "journalist", I'd hope that you are smart enough to not expect compensation on a small, floundering site started by enthusiasts.

Why would someone expect to start making $20k a year on a site that is being advertised on a public forum? If you read this on Monster.com, I'd see the point of wanting compensation. But here, no.

coolkatz321, post an example of a game review that you have written so we know at what level to write.

You think he might be looking for other writers because he sucks at it? Just a thought.

Quit giving this guy a rough time.

if i was going to write a review i would rather do it for free than this lame thought, but then i would put up my own site and not try to make $$$ off of other peoples knowledge.

come on, personally, i feel it is weak and insulting to our forum members

I run a gaming site already, and there are already about 4,000,000 review websites out there.

I agree that it is stupid for coolkatz to expect "a certain amount of things weekly" if there is no pay nor any type of compensation. 1 game to the member of the month? So basically not only are you buying your own games for reviewing but you are REQUIRED to review so many games and therefor REQUIRED to buy so many games and yet there is no compensation for doing so?

I assume the site would feature advertisements and would make some amount of money, even if it started out making nothing. If theyre serious about starting a reviewing site then they need to at the very least offer to purchase games for reviewing.

I hate to be a stickler, but your site looks pretty amateurish, is tough to read, and I hope you got permission to use that Mario in your site's top banner.

The site isn't rendering properly, at least in firefox. You also need the proper licenses to use all of those characters.

Hey! You didn't tell me you were updating your site again. I thought you had given it up :(. Glad to see you're getting back into it a bit again. Maybe my random $5 donation will see the light of day again :p.

If there are requirements to writing reviews, then I take back what I said earlier.

Haha, I'm coding up a whole new version. My old site didnt lend itself to add-on development very well.
