Recpie help, sausage balls

Susage balls: sausage, bisquick, and cheddar cheese. Every recipe I can find is basically that.

Does anyone know of the recipe for this from scratch? I know at least one exists, because my mom used to make them with it, but it seems to have been lost over the years, and it has taken way too long to figure out that that crap is half of our health problems. But the things are just so good! 🙂

What's the problem with Bisquick?

yeh bisquick is not some magic ingredient. Its just flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, etc. Its easier than mixing all that crap together to make bisquick.

Just make your own bisquick type mix:

* 8 cups Flour
* 1 1/4 cup Nonfat Dry Milk
* 1/4 cup Baking Powder
* 1 tablespoon Salt
* 2 cups Shortening

Combine flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Store in tightly closed container in cool place.

I use the newer "no trans fat" shortning.

I saw a recipe at KopyKat.com or one of the other famous recipe copying sites for Bisquick.
Sounds like pliablemoose knows his cooking 🙂

I buy those giant bags of flour, no need to buy 25 lbs of flour & Bisquick too😉

Premature birth. Not digesting most of it is not fun. Also, additives = the suck. I know, sausage, but hey, gotta draw the line between eating crap, eating well, and eating well but not liking the food.

It's OT. Neffing and jokes are fine, as long as I did in fact get help on the 'real' topic, which I did.
