Hi.
Few days ago wrongly formatted 3 TB HDD loaded with .MKV, .ISO, FLAC files.(Most of files are large enough, from 10gb to 50 gb).
I had similar problem decade ago and successfully recovered more than 70% of files but don't remember which one was it.
So i tried almost every TOP known APP but they all recovering JUNK, no .ISO, no MKV.
Here are list of it: R-Studio, Disk Drill, EaseUS Partition master, Free windows data recovery, PhotoRec, TestDisk(this one was little complicated).
I wanted to try more but they all taking more than 5 hours and i don't want to waste time anymore.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.

GetDataBack (www.runtime.org) has worked pretty well for me in the past.

When you say you formatted it, was it a quick format? Did you write any further data to the drive? The more that's been written to it, the less likely a full recovery will be.

Recuva has been around for a while. It's from the same people who make ccleaner. I would pay attention when installing so you can untick any boxes if they want to install other unnecessary programs.

* Note: On majorgeeks download page it says "Installer FORCES CCleaner installation" so this may also install ccleaner.

Thanks guys. I had APP installed on Windows OS to review MAC drive (Paragon HFS+ for Windows)
and by that i wrongly formatted HDD.
I don't know how "quality" formating was but i can't recover anything worthy. I'm keeping HDD empty just in case.
Will try those too.
