Welcome to the forums.

Here is my standard resource compilation. I am still considering proper organization before I start its own thread.

I suggest a data recovery program like GetDataBack, a rescue disk like UBCD4Win, or one of the hard drive related products like Partition Table Doctor or iRecover.

Data Recovery Programs
1) R-Studio
2) Runtime's GetDataBack
3) Ontrack's Easy Recovery Pro
4) Quetek
5) File Scavenger
6) HDD Regenerator
7) TestDisk

Hard Drive Freezer Technique
This technique is useful due to thermal contraction of mechanical parts
1) Place drive in an anti-static bag
2) Put drive in freezer for at least one hour
3) Remove drive from freezer
4) Quickly install in system
5) Attempt data recovery

If bios does not recognize hard drive, then reboot and try again until that one time the drive is recognized. If this does not work, put drive in another system and hope the bios of the other system detects the drive.

Can you provide more information?
Does the bios recognize the hard drive?
What errors did the drive receive with the manufacturer's diagnostic test?
What tools did you try to recover your data with?

I recommend that you use DataRecoveryWizard to recover your data.
The software provides very useful functions for data recovery:
DeleteRecovery, FormatRecovery, AdvancedRecovery, RawRecovery.

This program is an efficient disk recovery software providing
you a complete answer to data loss.

You can download the demo version of DataRecoveryWizard.
