Good price on a great jigsaw. I've seen used, beat-up ones selling for more than this on ebay. I used to have one of these actually and sold it on CL for more than this. Not sure how long stock will last, I got the e-mail this morning and went ahead and ordered one.

For what it's worth I've made two purchases from this site before (a shopvac and a sawzall) and no problems. I've not had to test their customer service though so I can't say for sure. They've been around a long time.

Oh, and I think the technical name for a sawzall is a saber saw right?

I don't think there's any real technical name for distinguishing the two. I've seen jigsaws labeled as sabre saws.

I've got an old (30 years) craftsman jigsaw at home, it works fine but it leaks oil everywhere. Seriously contemplating picking this up.

The bosch 1587 was/is pretty widely regarded as the best jigsaw out there. It's older now and new models have come out with different features but this one is still a workhorse. Dewalt, Milwaukee etc all copied the design and released their versions but they're not much cheaper than the real deal.
