Recommending a Dell Studio 17 to a co-worker...

Co-worker had his house broken into and lost the Inspiron 17" I picked out for him about 18 months ago. Looks like the Studio 17 is the closest thing to that.

I am keeping it baseline with possibly going for the bigger HD, backlit keyboard, and a couple other minor options...they only email/web/use Office 2007.

They already have an Office license.

Budget is as close to $500 as possible and no more than $700.

17" is required.

nice of you buying for your co worker...wish i am your co worker...anyway Dell Studio is nice and much same as Inspiron. Some people said that Dell has renamed Inspiron to Studio to get their attention.

Not buying him one, I am picking it out for him. Their technical ability is about a -5 on a scale of 0-10.

I wouldnt recommand buying HP notebook until HP clean up with poor customer care and horrible repair center mess.
