Recommended Socket 939 Boards?

Well, since I had 2 mobos, the Abit AV8 and the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, they both didn't work. Screwed up somehow with the monitor not showing. So now, I need choices for a new mobo. Which ones do you recommend?

Monitor not showing. Sounds like a dead CPU or Mobo. Or even video card. You might have gotten a cable backwards. It happens, however the MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum is the best 939 mobo out right now.

Or wait 'til the DFI LanParty NF3 Ultra-D for socket 939 hits the market sometime in the very near future.That's what I'm waiting on.I wish they would hurry up and market it already.I'm getting ants in the pants here.
Originally I was going to go with the MSI Neo2 because it has such high ratings.It's just a bit quirky with memory,PSU's & set-up.But from what I'm seeing about the DFI LanParty NF3 for socket 754 and also the Intel P-4 side of the house,it look's like DFI is the up and coming Rolls Royce so to speak.
I'm going to build a very simliar system to yours

Mmm... nope, no cables backwards what so ever... I wish the DFI came out earlier though... heard good reviews of the Skt 754 version though. Yes, I am overclocking. Right now, since K8N is screwy, I am leaning towards the K8T-Neo2-FIR version.

I have a K8N Neo2 Platinum and it works wonderfully. It's the best motherboard I have ever known. Try downloading the 1.2 bios file it helped alot with my heat issues and other minor problems. As far as the monitor not working, I seriously doubt that that has anything to do with the motherboard at all. If you absolutley don't want the MSI board, read below.

I have read reviews on the DFI board and from what I have seen, I agree. Although it is only out for the Socket 754 so far, I have heard that it is a GREAT Motherboard. I eagerly await the DFI release of a socket 939 motherboard with similar features, because I have heard so many good things. I don't know if I really want it to be better than my MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. though, hehe.

I would think so, I mean, if the motherboard doesn't have built in video-- which it doesn't-- then how could it possibly have anything to do with a monitor not displaying? Especially when he's tried two motherboards and had the same problem, it just can't be a motherboard problem, I don't see how.

Mmm... yeah... lemme try a different video card... from my compaq
