Any highly recommended HSFs for SocketA Athlon?

I've looked at reviews and Globalwin and Vantec seem like their pretty good, just looking for the opinions of people who are currently using one they like on their Athlon.

I have a tbird 750 running at 987mhz (141x7) and I'm using the GlobalWin FOP 38. it's a great HSF and a pretty good price at around 20-25 on the net. Kinda loud, but you get used to it.

TaiSol GCK742092

Good Cooling as well as being Nice and Quit.:)

For even better cooling you can always change the fan to an even more powerful one, like the delta.

I agree with those posts too. the Global Wins and the Taisols are pretty good
namely the FOP38

im thinking about getting a vantec over the taisol.. they're on sale til the end of febuary at inflowdirect... they're supposed to be almost as loud as a fop38, but maybe ill swap the fan with a lower powered one and have a blower blowing at it (my radio shack still has a few yay)

Those black label delta's whine like a bitch in heat...seriously though, they have the pitch of a blowdrier. Not as loud, but that same annoying pitch.

Dodge the FOP38 unless you are mostly deaf.

The FOP32 is pretty good, I favour the Alpha PAL6035..not sure why it's not much better than the FOP32 (or FOP38 if you equip the alpha with a Black Label Delta) but I've always been an Alpha HSF kinda guy.

Description of noise of Fop38 (black label delta 60mm fan).

Imagine yourself driving on the interstate (normal blacktop).
Now imagine that same car switching over to a concrete surface doing the same speed.
The noise is a very whiney noise, and frankly, I couldn't stand it one bit.

I have a FOP32-1 and even that thing is so loud I have a half a mind to take it back out, I can't imagine using a FOP38.

Globalwins are efficient because they use high CFM fans. If you want an effective and QUIET HSF, try a PEP66 with a lower CFM fan. The TaiSol GCK742092 (forged Al) is also efficient with a quiet, low CFM fan as well.

Cheers!

Another vote for the Global win Fop 32 (38 if you can stand it)I have both of these Right now I an using my fop32 because the fop38 sounds louder than my fridge.
