I got this huge book of Edgar Allan Poe stories, poems, etc. He has some really good poems but most aren't that great imo.

I don't think I had ever read the entire "The Raven" before but that one is just excellent.

Any suggestions?

I plan on reading the entire thing, but I wouldn't mind skipping to a good one or two in between the ones that I don't find as good.

The Murders in the Rue Morgue and the Cask of Amontillado are both great, and I can't believe no one's mentioned The Fall of the House of Usher yet!

Also, after reading all the classics noted here, you might want to check out the Vincent Price movies based on several of them. Somewhat "loose" translations, but classic horror nonetheless ...

! Usher is so delicious. Read it at night in one sitting. Fun.

if you like Poe, check out the CD from Alan Parsons Project-Tales of Mistery and Imagination, it take some Poe poems and stories and adapts them to music.

The Bedpost and the Lubricant is one of his lesser known works that I found the most interesting.

I always liked Cask of Amontillado. There were some others, but I can't remember the titles.
