Recommended A+ Books?

Hey everyone, I have used the search thing but was unable to turn up any results. Argg. So what books do you guys recommend?

Is the Marcraft (sp?) book good? I have to go return this "A+ Certification Bible" that I bought for $60 because it was full of mistakes and was rather vague... floppy drives have 34 pins right (with one missing, pin #5)? The book said 33... which isnt totally wrong but the accepted answer is 34. That wasn't the only incorrect bit info... multiple errors.

I am going to return it tonight so post quickly please!

Believe it not the A+ for Dummies seems good. I am currently studying for my A+ exam and of all the books I own I keep going back to the Dummies one! Just be sure to buy the newest edition.

I was studying the A+ for Dummies last year. the thing that I like about it is that it's straight to the point. If you need answers then you can find it there. but the thing i don't like is that it doesn't go into detail too much about stuff

All-In-One A+ Certification by Michael Meyers

that's the other book that i had to buy for my hardware class at college. excellent book. i really recommend it.

I haven't read the newer version of either book though

Arg! Anger!!! I wasnt able to find the Micheal Meyers book at my Barnes and Nobles! Saw the Marcraft Book, the dummies book, but no Mike Meyers!

You will need the All-In-One A+ and own all concepts inside the covers, because comptia is shifting at the end of the month to adaptive testing. You will not get a 70 question exam. You will get questions that are progressivly harder to determine if you actually know and understand the material. I prefer this cert that way. The best preperation is studying this book because it covers everything you need.

Good luck! 🙂

I agree. Out of the several I've seen, this is by far the best!
