Hi,
I'm having difficulties on finding for motherboard, RAM, and power supply that suitable for my both components::confused:
1) AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+
2) 9800 GTX+

I play the crysis b4 but it is way lagging especially when I used the 9600GT. I hope you can give some advice what requirements that I need to do in order to have a great texture and flow especially crysis.
Thanks
:)

Welcome to the Anandtech Forums.

I'm sure your question will be answered by the next customer representative.

Thank you.

j/k.

For the the PSU, I'd say that 550w is a good starting point - anything lower, you may run into trouble since that video card eats a lot of power.
When you do get that CPU, you might want to overclock it to get the most out of the 9800 GTX+ since I believe your processor might be holding it back at stock speeds.

Different from chip to chip, some are good overclockers and some barely go above stock. But that's a question you should ask in the CPU and overclocking section, not familiar with AMD chips myself anyways.

I've got a 9800gtx+ as well and my HX520 is holding it well overclocked with a 50% overclocked E6550, too. The card isn't as power hungry as I thought it would be. Just make sure you have 2 6-pin plugs from the power supply to run it.

Running my system (9800 GTX+ 821/2017/1246, E6420 @ 3.2 and 4x1 gigs of ram) just fine on my Antec 350w, the card doesn't pull a ton of power it might be even less than my old 8800 GT so a good 500w supply should be fine.

For motherboard, you could try a 790fx board, those are the best at overclocking. And then a 2x2GB RAM kit to go with it. A lot of people like GSkill and Corsair when it comes to memory, but almost any large brand (A-Data, Crucial, Mushkin, Patriot, etc.) would be reliable.

Thanks. So will it be lag when I used AMD Athlon X2 5000+? Because I heard from the people that the processor and the graphic card work differently. So I confuse about it? Thanks
