recommendations for a fast, easy-to-use photo scanner?

I'm thinking of getting a scanner for my parents so they can digitize our old photo albums. However, since me and my bros will be gone for school after the break, it has to be something they can use as well.

I'm looking for something that scans quickly and is really easy to use. Good image quality, of course, but i guess it doesn't need to be high res enough for film and whatever. We'll probably get along fine just scanning prints.

so let's say... <$200? Suggestions? thanks

My Canon CanoScan 4200F that comes with film adapter (I think 8mm negative not sure what size) it scanned film negative the result looks good but I don't know if the CanoScan 4200F still selling. I got it for 80.00 2 years ago.

The Epson Perfection is a great photo scanner. Been using mine for 4 years or thereabouts. It has an adapter for film and slides and does a really nice job on all media. Not sure of best prices now, but look them over. Make sure you price one with film and slide adapter. Think I paid about $300 at the time, but believe prices have come down in the past 4 years...

i ended up buying the Canon 8800F, which uses LEDs or something and thus has no warmup time, 2 sec preview, and 7 sec scan. It also does slides and negatives. I'll see how it works in a few days tho.
