RECOMMENDATION: Powerful Laptop?

Hi fellows,

I am looking for a laptop with the strongest Intel Core i7-CPU and a lot of RAM. I do not require an expensive video card, it is not for gaming. What would you recommend for my needs?

On a side note, when do you feel the trilogy of Intel Core i7-59XX with DDR4 RAM will be out in laptops?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

What kind of work are you doing with it? this will drive the processor/RAM requirements
How large of a screen do you want?
What quality screen do you want?
How much of a concern is weight?
Will you be moving it around a lot?
Will you hook it up to an external monitor?
what kind of storage/HD requirements are you thinking of?
What is your budget?

Do you seriously want so many answers from the OP for his question?

Chess Gator:

What are your needs, if I may ask? All you've really said is "not gaming!" Are you editing photos, movies, 3D models or something else? How important is portability or battery life?

As for 5th-generation quad Core i7s, you may have to wait until the spring. Intel's current batch of 5th-gen chips is limited to dual-core parts. That includes some Core i7s, so you can still get something pretty fast if you aren't running highly multi-threaded tasks.
