Recommendation on a Shuttle motherboard

Shuttle AN35N-Ultra. It's a skt A, nForce based-chipset mobo that goes for about $55. Got mine at newegg.com IIRC.

Yet another happy customer with an AN35N Ultra from Shuttle. Running a XP-1700 Thoroughbred at 2.00 Ghz for about 2 years now. (10x200) Still runs like a champ. No problems. Was a great bang for the buck motherboard when I bought it, and still is, IMO. You could pick up an AN35N for about $59 shipped from newegg add a XP2000 cpu for $71, throw in a Speeze Whisper Rock II heatsink and fan for $15 shipped and for less than $150 you have the heart of a decent system.

A fourth vote for the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra. I've gotten about three of them from Newegg. Very budget, very stable, great performance and even better overclockability. It isn't the most feature loaded board but at that low price you can afford to spend $30 on a SATA card and another $20 on a Firewire card. It has basic onboard 5.1 audio and 10/100 network.
