Recommendation Needed: Headphones/Earphones for MP3 Player

The set of earphones one gets with an MP3 has much to be desired. What brands do you recommend for use with an MP3? My budget is between $20 to $50 max. Thanks.

What kind of headphones are you after? Earbuds, in-ears, or proper headphones?

As a general suggestion, the Koss KSC-75s are a great-sounding and low priced (about $20) pair of clip-on headphones.

KSC75s are great, but not exactly the style of earphone you're looking for. If you want your recipient to have the compactness of iBuds, then look at the Creative EP630s. These are small buds, but fit partway inside your ear, so that they isolate outside noise. They sound excellent, too.
