I am a high school special education teacher and my canon crashed. I would like some recommendations for laser, duplex, low printing cost. I can make up to 2k copies per month so I would like a moderate duty cycle printer.

I recently got a Samsung ML-2851ND for home and its been great so far. The 2,000 page toner cartridges are around $50 to $60 however people have been finding them a lot cheaper at some Office Depots. It prints quickly, and has duplex printing and built in networking.
 
x2 on the 2851ND. I love mine. Has all the features you want and an advertised duty cycle of 30,000 pages per month.
