Hey there again guys,
So i have decided against the Sunbeam Chromatic Windmill because all it is is eye candy. I want a controller with functionality, control about 4 or more fans, look good (especially in black, but silver is a second) and possibly have a functional LCD. I want my PC to look nice for LANs, but also to get the benefits of a Fan Controller since my computer is ungodly loud and annoying. Price is not so much an issue, but I was looking to pay under $30. So what do yall think?

Yes the Zalman looked nice, not sure if I really want to go that simple as the frozencpu one though.

I like this but it looks like they're OOS on the black. Nothing fancy but works well and is easy $$

I just like the frozencpu one because I'm using several low cfm quiet fans already (panaflos and yate loons) so I'm not expecting a lote of noise (still working on the build) but I want to be able to switch to 7v for normal use and 12v for gaming and benchmarking

So far, I've had the Zalman 6-fan fan controller, the Sunbeam 4-fan fan controller, and the Hardcano 13. Don't get the Hardcano 13. It's sh!t. Fan control is jumpy and annoying to use. The media card stuff doesn't work anymore. I've already taken it out, and I'm putting it in the crack rack to monitor temps in the garage during the summer. I've been through about 3 Zalman fan controllers. They are good. Only had one thing happen to one of them--the LEDs stopped working for some reason, but they were dependable. And I haven't had the Sunbeam in long enough to make an opinion on those...

I can vouch for the Aerogate III. I have two of them, and despite not having anywhere to put a third one, am very tempted to buy another at that price.

4 channel fan control with 4 temp probes. Fans go from full 12V down to 0V in gradual steps, and you get beeps at either end of the spectrum, so if you have a fan that does not report RPM, you can use those beeps as signs that you have reached full speed or have turned the fan completely off. Panel controls are easy to use, although the small, flat buttons might be a problem for those with large/thick fingers.

The unit is well-made quality-wise. Not sure I would pay $40 for one, but for the price SVC has been selling them, nothing else comes remotely close. The only thing is that controlling the fans will not be as convenient as turning a knob (you will have to push buttons), but that is about the only caveat I can think of. The LCD panel is also not an obnoxious radioactive color- just a simple backlight.

LOL

Get some AS5 or a few case fans so the shipping doesn't seem as bad :p

Edit- holy hell, I thought they sold the as5 for 2.99 :( They jacked that up.

Ahh well, usuallty some decently quiet case fans on sale if you're so inclined.
