How did I know (before I even clicked the thread) that the first response would be this? So many idiots in the world.

lol same. i knew before i clicked this thread it would be full of 75% replies of people stating that they don't like it.

they don't like it and care about it yet they go into a thread about it.

I heard someone on the radio compare dubstep to a modem handshake. lol

Note: I haven't heard too much of it, so I will withhold judgement for now. :)

fatboy slim was the real deal. if i ever want to listen to techno style music, thats where i go.

this dubstep is what i thought we would see in 2050. nothing but annoying synthetic noises that are hardly in rythm. stuff that can easily be generated by algorithms on a computer. i was so wrong, it came so fast.

i sometimes thank dubstep for finally killing rap, but then again its just shit replacing shit.

Scooter, although cited as an influence by many dubstep artists, is most certainly not dubstep.

never heard of scooter. tried clicking the link but there was a 15 second ad with no option to skip. it was faster to click x and post this disapproval.

I'm not big into the heavy dubstep.

I do like house, progressive and trance though.

I can also recommend Deadmau5 and scooter. I also will add Gareth Emery to that list. I particularly like the song Tokyo. Also, another favorite of mine currently is Nowhere to Go (Shogun remix). Not really dubstep, but still good imo.

I don't mind dubstep influence in electronic music, but most dubstep is garbage. Electronic music is about freeing the artist from the constraints of an instrument and enabling them to make any sound they want to form their music... not to make a weird new sound and drill it into you until you're sick of it by the end of the "song."

That said, I like Mike Thompkins' (pbpproductions') version of Skrillex's "Cinema."

The original isn't so bad, even though I HATE the lyrics (SRSLY? You would watch a cinema "forever?!" Ugh.).

I absolutely LOVE MetroGnome's version of Ellie Goulding's "Lights"

oh yeah, I went through a huge pendulum phase that lasted years. But I've kinda played it out for myself now and barely listen to them anymore. I saw them live at a small venue in vegas a year or two ago...it was pretty damn awesome. The bass reverberated all over the place in that small club.

My favorite song was Granite. It drops real hard.

Wow, I don't know how I did it, but I completely missed the In Silico album. That problem has been rectified! Only $5.99 at Amazon too!
