Recommend some DDR3 memory?

I am looking to put together a simple new Pentium Dual core system for my parents and am looking at the ASUS P5G43T-M Pro LGA 775 Intel G43 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail from Newegg which supports DDR3 memory. I need something pretty basic that will work at standard frequencies and want to spend <$90 for a 2x2GB kit--any suggestions, I checked Newegg and there are several choices in this price range.

Thanks

DDR3 1333 or 1600 rated to operate at 1.5v... don't worry about CAS ratings.

Any reason why you consider 1.5v to be more important than CAS ratings?
I was under the impression that as long as it's 1.65v or less, it's okay.

1.) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231303
2.) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231277

So assuming the 1st kit wasn't on sale and was the regular price, you'd still recommend Kit #2 over it only because it runs at 1.5v eventhough Kit #1 runs at CAS 7?

I'm just trying to understand why running CAS 9 at 1.5v is more important than CAS 7 at 1.6v that's all.

Also, GSkill recently released their "ECO" line series which run at 1.35v

Would you recommend the ECO series over both kit #1 and #2 considering the volts, price, and yes...CAS ratings?

I'm also interested to hear about the ECO line, as that's what I'm looking at for my own new PC build. 1.35V and CAS 7 seems pretty sweet.

I was wondering the same thing. Think it would be wise to jump in and make a purchase of the CAS 7 kit while it's priced where it is right now ($120)?

Pay $120 for 1.35v kit when one can get the same exact specs at 1.6v for $80?
Only if I'm an environmentalist maybe.

Until I see evidence of it's overclocking abilities, it's best to err on the side of caution.

* 1.5v is the DDR3 JEDEC standard
* CAS timing differences are meaningless in real world applications these days

I agree with Blain,
Go with 1.5v 1333 or 1600

I need a recommendation for DDR3 (4G Bshould be plenty for gaming right) for an AMD setup MSI 790FX bpard. Would the same recommendation apply? (Avoiding a new thread just for AMD).

Any specific recommendations for make and/or any deals?

Like the OP I'm not current on RAM info, little idea what I'm looking for.
