recommend sites for teaching myself java

Ok so there's this job opportunity I could take but I need to know java, html and uml, I've already signed to a course but it starts in 10 days, I'd like to start learning ASAP, specially java, can you point me to some good programming resources? btw last programming I did was in basic and fortran so I'm somewhat rusty :shocked: but I learn fast.

And yeah I know google but I figured you guys would know better.

Do a search for the Java Tutorial and go through it, or at least the parts you think you'll need for the job. Download the free book "Thinking in Java".

I like the book "Java in 60 minutes a day". Quite expensive but you may find it in a nearby library...
