Recommend me stuff to watch during my 9 hour bus ride this week.

Zeze

Lifer
NY -> Bos round trip.

Any movies or TV shows. Friend got me few seasons of Dexter. I also hear Breaking Bad is good.

Also any movies you rec? Something uncommon as I've watch lots of movies. Anything older is good too like City of God (2002) I watched recently.

You can also recommend easy to read fun books (don't feel like getting into a heavy novel) like Zombie Survival Guide

12 Monkeys
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen

. . . on a side note, is riding the bus cheaper/faster than the train?

I can't stand kiddie elements in anime and haven't seen a worthy series since Cowboy Bebop, Chanploo, and Eva.

People recommended recent stuff like Ergo Proxy or that goth girl in a future setting. They were all shit.

This doesn't look promising either.

Much cheaper. You have many options: Bolt Bus, Megabus, Fungwah in Chinatown, and Worldwidebus. Most come with wifi and AC plug.

They're all $15 each way. I don't know how dinosaurs like Greyhound stays in business still charging $60-70.

They all land in heart of Boston (South Station) or Alewife terminal on red line.

Holy cow, $15? That's cheap!

Anyhow, if you're looking for Anime, I highly recommend Mushishi, Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit or if you're okay with something a little more abstract (I don't think it'd be up your ally, to be honest but I'll throw it out here) Kaiba.

Easy... you're still riding Greyhound

Some curbside carriers are subsidiaries of major conventional carriers.

Bolt Bus, for example, is a subsidiary of Greyhound, and Megabus.com is a subsidiary of Coach USA.

They get the suckers who are like "fuck greyhound.. i aint gonna pay them" .... and they go Bolt Bus instead.

Meanwhile Greyhound is laughing all the way to the bank

But dont forget your crash helmet..

Curbside buses are seven times more likely to be involved in a fatal accident than traditional buses, according to a new National Transportation Safety Board study.

ergo proxy is shit, i'll agree.. but so is evangelion. bakemonogatari is a great series. dunno what you're finding objectionable about it.

what you'll find: blood, vampires, monsters, some romance, a lot of dirty jokes...
what you won't find: teen angst and melodrama.

Try Elfen Lied... definitely NOT for kids

Good to know, thanks.

well, Bolt Bus and Megabus charge more than $15 if the bus starts getting filled up....I think the highest price is round $30.

Fungwah is always $15 and you have the chance of their frequent roadside adventures such as a breakdown, engine caught on fire, and etc.

yeah... one time I took the fungwah, one of the TV's fell on a guy's head. I avoid that bus line when I can....
