Any reason you don't like Shuttles? I just put together an Aopen EZ482, since I couldn't get a Shuttle in my area.
It's average, I think. Works just fine, not too loud, and installation was simple. The design is good, overall, although I think the front panel plastic feels...cheap. But it's pretty modern and will last me a few years.
I do have one complaint - I can barely hear some noise/static on my headphones for some reason, when I do stuff in Windows like maximize/minimize applications. Haven't figured out why.
I owned a shuttle and didn't like the fact I couldn't do many upgrades and it was very picky about hardware. Plus I like being able to put what type of mobo I want. I was thinking of going with the aspire qpack.
I have that case (drilled vented siding) and love it. Only complaint is that it uses a proprietary 220W PSU, so that means no Prescott or anything higher than a 6600GT.
Uses a proprietary form factor motherboard, Intel video, AC97, ethernet, the works. 2 front USB, 1 IEEE, and 5 audio thingys.
