Recommend me some foreign films! (particularly Asian if you can...)

"Shiri" kicks ass. That's an awesome movie.

I thought it was boring, cliched, and that people were smoking something that I want if they thought it was awesome. I didn't pay to rent it but I did feel cheated out of a couple hours of my life.

My mom actually walked away after 10 minutes in the DVD player. My dad watched 15 minutes then walked away... me and my bro made fun of it MST3K style after about 30 minutes. Korean film < other Asian films by far. The only one I liked was already mentioned (Sassy Girl)

Shiri STUNK... Hero SUCKED... YiYi was really good if you can understand and identify with it. If you can't, you'll prolly think it SUCKS since you won't be able to understand most of it.

I really liked the newer movie: "Bejing Bycicle"
Not much dialogue, but kept my attrention throughout the whole movie. I thought it was a good movie, albeit somewhat depressing.

[Huey1124:] "for non-foreign horror/gore movie, i highly recommend Evil Dead. that has to be one of the scariest/goriest movies of all time."

I've seen Evil Dead before. I guess I could say that was my first movie ever that made me fall in love with horrour movies. But then as I grew older I lost interest in horrour movies. 🙁 No movie was horrourful enough and interesting. It's either I outgrew these things or those movies have always been useless movies. I still like Evil Dead, though. I just wish I remember the details of the movie. All I recall is the young men fighting the invisible demon. 😛 Maybe you'll be kind enough to refresh my memory. 😀

Just rent Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army Of Darkness (#3, originally titled "The Medieval Dead"). They're groovy!
