I don't have a huge collection, only:
MLB The Show 2007 (hardly play it)
Resistance: Fall of Man (beat it)
Rainbow 6: Vegas (beat it)
Oblivion (lost interest)
Grand Theft Auto (recently beat the story, even though Game Progress shows at 65%)

Games I wouldn't mind owning:
Assassin's Creed
Metal Gear Solid 4
Grand Turismo Prolonge
MLB (not the show)

what do you recommend? I need something to keep me busy until Fall or whenever the new releases come out. Thanks

I've read mixed reviews on Assassin's Creed. I'm not much of a renter either.
 
Sucks that you already bought Resistance...

Just saw the official announcement for PS3 "Greatest Hits". Included are:

Resistance, MototorStorm, Warhawk, Call of Duty 3, Fight Night, Need for Speed Carbon, Rainbow Six Vegas, Asassin's Creed, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma

I'll definately pick up Resistance and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. You could use MGS4 (20 hours first run), Devil May Cry 4 (15 hours-ish) and Uncharted (8 hours). Assassin's Creed maybe, probably more a rental.


Edit: Couldn't live with "Greatist".
 
I got the MGS4 PS3 80gig....I had never play a MSG game. WOW. I think I have to get MGS: Essential Collection now.

Download: Echochrome - For $10 it is fun game.

Hot Shots Golf! I recently picked it up and it's great. I haven't finished MGS4 yet cause I just want to play more golf.. 😱

I did not have to understand the Patriot Stuff to enjoy the game.
Just figured out the back plot along the way.

I did not really buy the PS3 for MGS4. I just wanted one that was BC with my
PS2 games. I started playing MGS4 just because it was there.

Assassin Creed : play on a PC :! way better... I played it on the 360 for a 1hr and i thought it was crap and then i played on pc and was thinking it as err and then when few hrs in and i was hooked.

MGS 4 : Buy it now

GTP :! err ... that series has becoming a joke because the dev has gone crazy into making the ultimate racing game.

MLB : NO :!

MGS4 was my first MGS game too. Knowing the back story would have been nice, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy the game.

I have, but that was back in the day and I'm not entirely familiar with the story and plot anymore.

I personally didn't like Assassins Creed too much. It would be worth a rent though.

CoD4 - Great online play. Haven't played much of the story mode.
Heavenly Sword - Pretty good hack and slash.
Warhawk - Was fun when I played (was at cousins playing).
Vegas 2 - I've played it on PC (3 of us) and it was a blast.
