Recommend me an FPS to buy

I recently purchased a new machine that can handle pretty much anything in the way of FPS's out right now...so recommend me something to get.

I used to love Quake 3 and, UT2K4 (demo), and the original UT. What's out right now I might find interesting. Rescue me from my WoW-induced coma.

Does anyone still play UT2K4? I was thinking I'm going to get that since I thought the vehicles were pretty sick.
 
UT2k4 has a decent base of newbs to play onslaught.

there are no good FPS games out there other than UT2k4 and Q3 (UT2k4 is better 😀), but onslaught...
 
Nothing will be worth it until Half-life 2, episode 2 comes out... because that's when Team Fortress 2 is going to come out, and that will be awesome.

Yeah... I didn't know about it until yesterday... I don't play games anymore... but this will get me to play again... TFC was/is amazing.

iirc, it's console only (which is weird because CoD2 seems like it's PC and 360 only, seeing as how Big Red One isn't the same experience and got craptacular reviews).

I just started playing Q4 and I find the single player mode different and interesting. I love the AI teammates, it really makes it feel less like "you against the world."

And as others have mentioned, the stalwarts:
HL2
CS Source
BF2
F.E.A.R.
COD2
HL2: Episode 1

They're all great and fun games to play.
