Here is my problem. I have a terrible Belkin PCI wireless adapter. It disconnects me at randomn times, when I go idle my connection doesn't work until I restart my computer, and I get random jumps in ping when I am playing games. It is not my router since the other 3 computers I have running wireless work perfectly.

I have been looking mostly on Newegg for a wireless adapter since I have a $30 gift card. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I might depending on the product. I just need your help to tell me which Wireless adapter is the best.

Is this adapter good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833164105
It says it has great range and is rated one of the best adapters. Please help.

Thanks.

Last I heard Prism was still a good chipset. Avoid anything acx100 based, as the chipset info is all closed-source, which means that you can run into problems using it on non-windows platforms, or even just using it with fancy wireless apps like network stumbler, etc..

Your problems sound more like a weak signal to me though, so your money might be better spent on an amplifying antenna for your current card.
