i need something relatively affordable, and gives me flexibility to add another turntable and mixer when i decide to sort of hobby in remixing

why would you ever consider getting anything 'sides some technics?

you should be able to find it for 300-400 used/new if you look around, and they'll last forever and keep their resale value extremely well

Technics all the way baby! Hopefully your stereo has a phono input.

If your serious about mixing...get a direct drive turntable, they'll spin up faster than a belt driven one. Also, the cartridge/stylus you choose will prob make a bigger difference than whether or not you choose technics or not.
