That is a very good idea, wish that I had done that. My machine will not boot, Monarch ( bought the 90 nm sckt 939 there) says that you have to flash the bios to make the mb (abit av8 from new egg) see the cpu because of the die shrink. I can't do that because machine will not boot, have no way of knowing if mb or cpu are good.

This is why I prefer to buy MB/CPU and memory from one vendor. If it doesn't work you can send the whole thing back.
