Recommend me a programming keyboard, please

Hi guys. I know technically this is not a programming question, but I KNOW you guys will have the best answers!

I need a keyboard that goes beyond the average QWERTY model. I've tried looking by Newegg, but their keyboard product filters are pretty, eh (aside from USB/IR/Bluetooth connectors, you basically have price range and not much else). So I was hoping u guys could chime in.

I am NOT looking for a gaming keyboard. I am not a master programmer, I am a beginner and learning computers. I would like a keyboard that specifically has a "right mouse click" key (and possibly a trackpad too, if the price is reasonable). The other thing I'm looking for is a "meta" key which is not Windows branded.
These are the features I'm particularly searching for, however if you know of a key or feature that is awesome and/or indispensable to you, I'd be happy to hear about it!

all it needs to be is nice to type on, everything else can be done with shortcuts, that's my experience anyway. good simple mechanical keyboard > all the gimmicks in the book.
 
Just a note, my current keyboard is a crappy dell laptop keyboard, so just about anything will work.

That being said, when looking for a keyboard for programming, comfort is key. For me, the most comfortable keyboard that I've used has been the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard
 
I like chicklet keys, so I'm partial to my apple usb keyboard. I don't like bluetooth because of battery swaping.

What model do you use?

I understand that you guys get by with the functionality of a core QWERTY keyboard. I do too, mainly, but a keyboard with a right mouse click key is sth I would be willing to upgrade for.

a filco majestouch 2 with mx blue switches, expensive as hell but will last a lifetime. blues aren't good for gaming but the best for typing imo, tactile and audible feedback is the best.


but you can always just use autohotkey to remap the left windowskey to right mouse click.

I can't figure out what you would use that for.

I honestly rarely take my hands of the keyboard, sometimes I use my magic pad, but mostly everything I need is keyboard accessible.
 
I just buy the $5 dollar KB for programming. First, I don't use my keys nearly enough to warrant an extra $50-$100 for comfort. The keys I use most often is CTRL-C, CTRL-X, CTRL-V followed closely by CTRL-F, ALT-F, CTRL-S, CTRL-O.

When it finally breaks after a year or 2 of use, I buy another crap $5 KB.
