Recommend me a LCD monitor please

I've got NO clue on what panel to purchase theres so many monitors to chose from

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm trying to decide between three LCDs, all around the same price, but I"m not getting much love in the Video forum. My choices are:

Acer AL2223Wd Black-Silver 22"
SCEPTRE X22WG-1080p Black 22"
Hanns·G HW-223DPB Black 22"

I have a Dell 2005fpw and it works great for gaming. I believe the model number may have changed slightly as I bought mine back in 2005, but whatever their current 20" widescreen LCD is should be a good bet.

I was looking at the SCEPTRE X22WG but the gaming version has a problem with all the ports dieing on it

Ok, I'm leaning toward the Hanns-G then. It's 22", 5ms, 16.7M colors, 1080P, etc.

Check the LCD buyer's guide in the "Video" forum, it names the LG 226WT as the best 22" widescreen.

I own one and its fantastic.

Avoid the 226WTQ model though.

Well the guide doesn't recommend it for gaming, then again the only LCD it recommends it the resolution I am asking for is 600 bucks

Yeah I think I might get that LG Flatron L226WT or I will save up for that 600 dollar LCD

Neweeg has the SCEPTRE 22" for $249! 1680X1050 full 1080P. Great monitor. SCEPTRE's are very clear and very well built. Have had no problems with them.

I have the LG226WT and it is incredible for gaming...as someone else mentioned, avoid the WTQ as it has some artifacting issues...the WTQ is a newer revision of the WT. The WTX is the commercial sales release of the WT, so they are essentially the same.

You can tell which model it is by the UPC code sticker on the outside of the box. It will say L226WT, L226WTQ or L226WTX.

I also recently learned that LG uses the Chimei panel in the 226WT, so that is a more cost effective alternative to what many are claiming is essentially the same LCD.
