So I've taken up tennis again, and after a couple hours of hard playing my knees start acting up. I get some pain right below my left kneecap whenever I put most of my weight on it, such as walking up and down stairs. I don't think I can exactly stretch my knee, and I don't want to have to put ice on my knees every time I finish playing, so I was wondering if knee braces (or anything else for that matter) are effective in preventing this pain? I was looking at those patellar tendon straps since wearing a full brace would hinder my movement around the court, but do they work? If anyone's gone through this sort of thing, any comments/suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.
