Recommend me a hand vacuum?

Hi all,
I'm moving into a new apartment with wood floors. So I plan on using a swiffer type thing for most of the cleaning, but I'd also like to have a hand vacuum for odds & ends tasks. My only requirement is that it be bagless (unless that's a disadvantage).

Budget: ~$100usd

Thanks,
-Eric

By "Hand Vacuum" I'm assuming you're meaning something like this:

Dirt Devil Power Reach

I've had one of these for a number of years now... and can't imagine vacuuming the stairs / furniture without it.

I like it cause it has a power brush, a detachable head, and a built in hose (al be it a short one).

Dude. It's a dyson.

You cannot question the dyson. It is what it is, it's The Dyson.

Dirt Devils have no suction and they lose it immediately. The Dyson has much more suction and doesn't lose it with those pesky bags. You can find them on sale for less but don't discount the pure vacuuming pleasure that is The Dyson.

oh christ, again with the god damn dysons. buy yourself a $50 Dirt Devil and use the $100 you saved by not buying a dyson to get something better.

Dyson = Monster Cables = Bose

That 100 dollars would be spent on bags and frustration/time.

The Dyson doesn't use bags and it doesn't lose suction. You must experience it to understand it.

$100 on bags? Right....

I like our Electrolux Pronto 2-in-1:

I would NOT get it if it would be your only vacuum, because that's not really its intended purpose. It's more of a convenient, everyday sort of vacuum for when you don't want lug around a big vacuum to clean up something you spilled in the kitchen. It's a combined dustbuster and stick vac, and both work well. It's powered by a rechargeable battery (it charges when you put it on its stand)

After years of buying hand vacuums and they ALL failed at doing their jobs, I gave up and bought a full sized vacuum. Yes it's a bit of a cow to lug around, but it works.

Haha yeah, I physically pick up the floor vacuum and run it on the couch. Cumbersome, but it does the job.

Actually, even with the attachments with brush, the full sized vacuum will outperform any handy vacs.

My vacuums attachments suck. And not in a good way.
