I'm looking for a good web designer that's fair and easy to work with. I live in the Bay Area, but will certainly be out with teleconferencing with someone further away. I'm trying to avoid communication issues and other unpleasantries which seem somewhat rampant in the industry. My friends got a website done from a company with an awesome looking portfolio but they said they were a pain to deal with.

I'm not just looking for web design - probably going to need some custom jquery work, setting up databases, ability to create a slideshow that shows both photos and video clips one by one, and I'm looking to create a complete system so that I can generate these slideshows over and over for different projects that I do.

Want to avoid flash. No flash. God, no flash. Flashy jQuery and HTML5 is totally fine.

Halp?

web designers are ubiquitous especially in bay area you really need hand holding for this one?

and lets be honest your looking for someone who will do a ridiculous amount of work for slave wages.

Looking for recommendations, perhaps even someone on the boards.

Not really.

We can put your website into a CMS, so we'll design it and you can edit/change it as needed. Interested?

I might be able to help too. I'm not much of a designer, more of a developer. I'm experienced with databases, jquery, html, content management systems, etc. So like the other guy said, i can set up a CMS where you will have a dashboard you can log into to add new content/pages/posts/etc when you need to in the future.
