I've been playing Rise of Nations with a friend from Boston using Skype to talk and was wanting to upgrade my mic/headset combo. Can anyone give me some recommendations? I would prefer an over the ear earpiece, but would like to hear suggestions regardless.

Labtec or Plantronics headsets are always a good value for their price. Plus a 1 year warranty on commerical products
 
I got the Logitech Extreme PC Gaming headset from Newegg for 20-some dollars not too long ago. They work well for RON. I just started playing that again. 🙂
