Cliff notes: Me Wayne. Me stupid when come to DVD BUHNAH! please RECOMMEND one and why!

I am not to deep into the whole + and _ deal with dvd burners and have no idea about the benefits. That myself I can read up on; however, im not really into the whole dvd copy/piracy crap. if I want to burn a dvd or watch a movie on my computer every now and then I want to have something with some unf.
I had my eyes on the plextor dvd burner, never had any problems with them. but as far as cd burners go I am going with the yamaha crw-f1, I had the 3020ez but winxp doesnt like it that much and I had to hot swap it in and out constantly. and if they had a dvd burner i would definately buy it.
But they dont and I dont know who to go with.
I mean I got a toshiba 16x dvd drive laying around somewhere so I dont have to purchase one if you guys recommend me to keep
